Howdy Folks!

New to the forums, and wanted to say hello. Started playing Multi-player at release but I gave up when I couldn't log on for days due to the server issues.. I had beaten the single player at that point so ACB stayed on the shelf for a while while I game hopped.

Picked it up again last week, and I am glad to see the servers seem to be working (except for tonight)and have really enjoyed the multiplayer.

I'm over level 40 now, and I plan to start ranked matches once I hit 50.

Couple of questions...

1. Are the "roofers" and the "runners" that bad in the ranked matches? they are driving me insane.

2. I keep reading about/hearing about/ hearing on peoples videos the "whispers" when your pursuer is near. I have YET to hear that in my matches. I even turned off the music to try and hear it. I don't have a great sound system on my tv, but, there should be something there, right?

roofers and runners are bad everywhere . Theyre just even more annoying at high levels w/ better abilities .

yes, whenever your pursuer approaches you, listen carefully and you'll hear it .

In my opinion the roofers/runners are worse in ranked matches X_X

(the 'music' is where the whispers are found. Try turning everything else down to 3-5 and leave music at 10)

WORSE in ranked? That ... is disappointing.

and the whispers are in the music? well, ok. I had originally had my music on 3ish, then off... so that would explain it.

once you hear the whispers, you'll hear never not hear them again. just watch one of the many videos people post here, wait to see them stun a pursuer, then go back and listen for the previous 30 seconds or so. You'll hear them, no doubt.

And the roofers and runners are bad all over the place. Though...I find they weren't as bad once I reached level 50 and got put with other high ranked players. It still happens for sure, but...not as often. Except on Monteriggioni...I hate you, Monteriggioni...

1. Roofers and runners can be tough to deal with, but there are threads advising on tactics to use against them. Don't worry, they CAN be beaten. Practice, try out different abilities - Throwing Knives while a person is climbing, or when they're on a railing/beam where they move while crouched, will knock them down as well as leaving them slowed down for an easy kill. Alternatively, you can take a gun - saves the trouble of a chase, even if it only gets you 100 points for your trouble (200 if you get a mid-air bonus).

2. The whispers are on the music track. Turn that down and you'll never hear them. Turn music to max and everything else down instead.

one very easy method would be take the lead early . and control the game (since you have 3 pursuers) .

anyway , I've yet to play with you oblivion . you're always on LBP2 .

I'm building giant robots and submarines there.

Can't do that in Brotherhood.

Also, my ISP was doing upgrades over the weekend and I wasn't able to get a stable connection, Then when they finished, the Ubi servers went down a day later.

Should be back to ACB tonight though.
