What’s up
XP:
XP make you Level Up!
Every gig that your band performs gives it more and more XP.
You also get XP from winning battles!
There are a lot of other actions as well which give your band more XP throughout the game.
As you gain more XP, your band levels up, and you unlock more band members, better clothes, instruments, customization items, and gig venues!!
Band $:
Megaband City runs on Band $!
Earn Band$ by performing gigs and other actions!
Spend it on buying items from the various shops in the game!
You can also buy Band$ with Facebook Credits!
Mega Credits:
If you need a bigger bang, you can purchase Mega Credits with Facebook Credits!
Buy epic instruments and customization items with your Mega Credits.
You can even skip rehearsals, gig instantly and rewind missed gigs!
Stamina:
Performing gigs and battles cost you stamina points. You can see your stamina status on the top HUD.
Your stamina automatically regenerates over time. If that’s too slow for you, you can always buy a premium instant refill with Mega Credits!
Want a bigger stamina pool? Buy pad expansions! Each pad expansion increases your total stamina pool by 1! The last and biggest pad expansion increases it by 2!
Attack:
The amount of damage you do to your opponent’s band during a battle is defined by your attack.
Each instrument that your band owns adds to your total attack
Some special pad items add to your attack as well.
Defense:
The amount of damage your band takes during a battle is reduced by your defense.
Each clothing item that your band owns adds to your defense
Some special pad items add to your defense as well.
Health:
The amount of total damage your band can take in a battle is defined by your health.
Each neighbor that you have gives you 20 health. Add more neighbors to become an invincible band!
Don’t have enough neighbors? You can always buy premium upgrades through Mega Credits! Just click on ADD next to the health icon in the top HUD!
Band Name:
When the game starts, the first thing that you have to do is enter your band name.
Your Band Name can be up to 18 characters long.
Don’t waste too much time thinking of the greatest name of all time, since you can edit your band name at any time during the game by simply clicking on it on the top right section of the game HUD.
Please refrain from using profanities as this might lead to account suspension.
Customizing your Avatar:
Click on the band customization icon on the bottom HUD, and then click on the band member you want to customize in the pop-up menu.
The avatar customization is divided into 3 categories: Face & Hair Customization, Clothes Shop and Instrument Assignation Section.
Face and Hair Customization:
Select eyes, hairstyles, and various facial features. All items in this section are free!
Clothes Shop:
Buy shirts, pants, hats and various other accessories and clothing items, reflecting different genres of music. Items in this section cost you cash, but make you look really cool!
Remember that clothes add to your defense in a battle!
Instrument Assignation Section:
Here will show all the instruments that you own and that are placed in your pad.
You need to assign an instrument to your band member so that he will show in your pad.
You need to assign an instrument to at least 2 band members to be able to start rehearsing.
Make sure you’ve assigned an instrument to all your band members!
Remember that instruments add to your attack in a battle!
Hire Band Members:
Hire your friends from Facebook as your band members!
You unlock new band members as you level up!
Click on the band customization icon on the bottom HUD and click on the hire new band member option in the pop-up.
Fire band Members:
Click on the band member you want to fire, and then on the trash can icon on the option wheel to fire him. The clothes that were worn by the band member will be put into storage.
Playing at venues
Megaband features a variety of venues for your band to perform at. Each venue demands that your band rehearses for 3 minutes before you can gig there.
Click on “Start Rehearsing” ****on at the bottom left of the screen to open the Venue section.
All venues cost you Stamina! The higher the rewards, the higher the stamina cost. So remember to spend your stamina wisely.
Each venue also has a certain minimal cost, to cover the rent for the lights and stage equipment.
Rehearsing:
There is a timer at the bottom left of the screen showing you how much time is left. You can also cancel the rehearsal from here.
During the rehearsal, make sure you keep checking on your band, as the band members need constant attending to. Click on the icons that pop up on their heads, and solve their problems, and you’ll be rewarded with XP and Band $, as well as a boost to your Rock Out Bar!
Your friends are going to keep wandering into your pad looking to jam and get autographs! Click on your friends and watch the fun unfold, this will boost your Rock Out Bar!
Once your rehearsal time is over, you have to click on the Go Gig! icon on the bottom left of the screen. Make sure you Go Gig before the Expiry Time is over. All gigs expire in 48 hours.
Fast Forwarding/Rewinding:
If you don’t want to wait, you can also fast forward your rehearsals by paying some Mega Credits!
If you return late and your gig got canned, you can always rewind time, and not lose the gig, by paying some Mega Credits!
Both these actions automatically fill up your Rock Out Bar as well.
The Rock Out Bar:
Every action that you perform during the rehearsals (band needs, jams and giving autographs) boosts your Rock Out Bar. But be careful, the bar keeps decreasing over time. Make sure you check in every now and then to keep your Rock Out Bar full so you can Rock Out longer at your gig.
Rock Out can be launched during gigs, they will put the stage on Fire and make you gain mega-bonuses!
If your rehearsal is over, and your Rock Out Bar is not full, you can always spend some Mega Credits to buy a full refill! Just click on the ADD ****on below the Rock Out Bar.
Gigging!
Once your rehearsal is over, you need to click on the Go Gig! ****on. This takes you to the Playlist, where you can choose the song that you want your band to perform in the gig.
Once you’re Done with the track selection, Drag and Drop your band members on the stage. Position them to your liking, and when you’re done, click on the Start ****on.
The gig lasts for 1minute, and during the gig, depending on your Rock Out Bar, you can press the Rock Out ****on, which makes your band go crazy, and gives you bonus XP and Band$.
Collect all the items the fans throw at the band to show their love. On collecting each item you receive a small bonus!
Once your gig is over, you are rewarded with XP and Band$!
Battle Center:
The Battle Center can be accessed from the Bottom HUD. You can battle your friend’s bands, or other bands from all over the world from here. Pick your enemy, and click on FIGHT! Just make sure you have enough stamina left to start a Fight.
You can also directly fight your neighbors from the neighbor bar! Just click on fight and you’re on your way to the battle!
Battling:
Once you’ve chosen your opponent and clicked on FIGHT, you’re taken to the BATTLE ARENA! Watch the band posters fight it out, till only 1 remains standing.
Guest Artists:
You can hire Guest Artists from the Guest Artist shop located in the bottom HUD. Guest Artists aid in your rehearsals by automatically keeping your Rock Out Bar full. During they gig, they give you Mega Rock Out, boosting your Rock Out Bar well over 100%. They are active for 48 hours and then they leave your pad. You can only have one Guest Artist active at any time.
Instrument Shop:
You can buy a variety of instruments from the instrument shop located in the bottom HUD. Browse through the different categories that are present.
Once you’ve decided, click on buy, and place the instrument in your pad. You can show off your collection to your neighbors when they visit, and the band members will play the instruments wherever you place the instruments.
Each item bought will give you a certain amount of XP, and add to your band’s total attack!
Pad Shop:
The Pad Shop is the place where you can buy decoration items to customize your Pad and also buy Expansions. Bring up the pad customization shop by clicking on the icon on the bottom HUD. Browse through the different categories present.
Once you’ve decided, click on buy, and place the instruments in your pad.
Each item bought will give you a certain amount of XP, and add to your bands total attack of or defense depending on the type of item.
Storage:
You have a storehouse for your Clothes, your Instruments and your Pad items.
If you’re sick of some items, but don’t want to sell them, you can simply store them in your storehouse.
To do so, simply click on the item and click on store!
When shopping, you can check the storage tab, to browse through items you already own! If you end up buying an item that you already own, don’t worry, the item will first be taken from your storage.
Remember that even if you store items, they still count for your band’s total attack/defense.
Visiting Neighbors:
All your Facebook friends who are playing Megaband automatically become your neighbors. You can visit them from the neighbor bar located at the bottom of the game screen. You can help them out by stopping the Daily Invasions. You can also directly Battle them from the neighbor bar.
The City:
Megaband City is always thriving with activity, so make sure you hunt around for trash, blind guitarist, and many other interesting things. Try clicking on things and see how they react! You might even get some Band $ and XP!
Snapshot:
You can share your game experience with all your Facebook friends through the Snapshot tool. Click on the camera icon on the bottom HUD and share a Snapshot of your game on your wall. The pictures are automatically stored in an album called “Megaband” in your Facebook profile.
What’s up:
The “what’s up” pop-up keeps you up to date with the latest additions to the Megaband world!
