Customer
hello, I did what you asked:

- MSCONFIG - "disable all" - restart
- delete all in %temp% which is C:\Users\****\AppData\Local\Temp
- uninstall Conviction
- uninstall ubisoft launcher
- re-download 7GB/reinstall (painful process) Conviction with Steam.

Still the same problem. I can not access main menu.

I got this reply to another of my many tickets. It seems they are aware of this but don't have a clue what it is:

Hello,

Can you please confirm if you are still experiencing problems with your game? If so, we're still looking into some things so please bear with us. It'd be worth also keeping an eye on our support pages on Ubi.com, any information or answers we find will be posted there as soon as we have them.

Regards,

Hello,

A new patch has been released for the game. Once installed, launch the game to see if it has resolved your issues.

Regards,

Very helpfull!

I am shocked. I have also traced the problem. Indeed it is the place the game is put. If I simply move all my Steam folder from D: to C:, it works and I can access main menu.

This is great Ubisoft, your game works on C: and not D:! This is totally unacceptable. FIX THIS.

I have my game installed in B. I'm thinking it must be a combination of things then. I don't have the steam version.

Several people have reported (Both Steam and retail owners) that if they change the installation drive, it resolves that for them. And indeed it did for me.

Have you had this problem? And you have it on B?

I would also like to know wtf is wrong here. I have the retail version and I get no menus when the game starts up. Once after a bit of random clicking I got into some kind of game mode and I noticed that the graphics are all messed up in that too (character is invisible, most walls can be seen through from all the clipping issues).

I need to sort this out, I paid good money for this game that I now can't use.
