Game crashes each time i try start it with a failed to set display mode error.

hardware
nvdia gtx 7800 quadro
amd 3800+
1gb gskill ram.
using lates nvidia quadro drivers and newest directx.

system log under game/bin says

You video card is too low for this game. This is all

Its a 600$ card bought a month ago, scoring about 9000 points in 3dmark 3005. So should be more than enough to run this game.

Tried the config file tip but with no luck either.

I thought it is low for the game because of this:

D3DERR_OUTOFVIDEOMEMORY

It means that your video memory isn't enough for the game... Try to install again directx 9.0c and install the latest drivers of your video card.

Edit: I saw your video card especifications and i dont find the reason because the game makes this error...

yeah its a strange error. 256 mb on the card, so most likely a bug in the game or video driver.
tried reinstalling both driver and directx 9.0c april no luck.
gonna try with some unofficial drivers later tonight and see if that changes anything.

If not changes, the only last thing that you can do is reinstall the game...

Try unpacking this to your \demo\profiles folder
If this fails try changing video drivers, perhaps even to an older one.

Kartabon, are you some kind of official?

Many people are having the same problem, same error.

Everyone with the problem seems to be running an nvidia card (maybe not everyone?), that's *well* over the requirements for the game...

I think most people have tried changing drivers, and reinstalling the game, already.

Unreal_az, changing to low details & 16bit doesn't fix it. Just tried your config.

The rar file didnt help, not did reinstalling anything.
tried with an older Nvidia driver with no luck.

BUT.. I download and tried this NGO Nvidia otimized driver from here
http://www.ngohq.com/home.php?page=nvidia
and i was able to get the game running just fine.
Might work for others who are also having problems with game crashing.
