It was probably covered in previous messages but search button doesnt work well so I decided to ask you guys for help. Basicly I can't host becouse of thru my router. I made my comp as a DMZ dont have any software firewall running and everytime somebody wants to join gets timout message, Looks like its ubi thing becouse I can host with no probls on HL, same config. Is there anything additional I have to setup in ubi software or something else.
Thanks in advance for any help.
P.S. I've got D-Link router.

I don't know if the link the first person to reply to your question helped or not. My friends and I routinely host through routers. I assume security was a big factor is your choosing a router rather than a switch or hub due to the former's hardware firewall. For this reason, you might not want to setup your router with the DMZ function. Rather, use the Virtual Server function and manually configure port 21000 (the port used by IL2/FB) to be open. You can always close it afterward or run a software firewall like Zone Alarm for protection when you're not hosting. You will probably have to disable any software firewall while hosting, but the port will already be in use anyway. Good luck and happy hosting.

Thanks guys for feedback. I tried everything you suggested and something is still not right. I tried dmz only to check if I can host, normally I prefer opening ports in Virtual Server or Firewall sections of my router.
Still guys who want to join get timeout messages. Funny thing is I can host ok on HL. I can also host Lock On game on ubi, but when it comes to IL2- no go.
There is something about ubi that is starting my IL2fb server wrong way.
Anyway I'm gonna give it few more tries and just move on to HL
Thanks again.
