OK, I GOT THE 2 MONTHS FREE AND I PUT IN THE ACTIVATION CODE AND IT SAIS "FREE" AND NOW IT'S ASKING ME FOR A CREDIT CARD NUMBER AND STUFF

do i have to put that info in?

yes you do. It has to subscribe you as a member and then it can give you the two free months. Heres a quote from xbox.com

"Credit Card
You will need a standard Visa, MasterCard, or American Express card, or a debit card branded with a Visa or MasterCard logo. Yes, you already paid for the first 12 months of service when you bought your Starter Kit, but your account must be linked to a valid credit card. Your card will not be charged for any additional charges without your explicit consent for the duration of the 12 months of service."

my parents wont let me get it now.......... their scared that someone might hack microsoft or something or steal our credit card number

now my dad sais it's a crock of shiat

this is what he said "ya, you get the two months free but there already charging u for the whole year subscription

but i told them there not

so i guess i cant play online now

that's rubbish!

i got Xbox LIVE for my Bday

when you buy it in a shop (for $39.99) you are paying for a years subscription already

they dont charge anything to your credit card, unless you want ANOTHER years charge after the twelve months is up

if they DO charge anything, you have the legal right to SUE them
