The list for the Oscar nominations came out earlier today. I don't know who is interested, but here is the link:

I find it really cool that Johnny Depp got nominated for his Pirates role. Yay! I hope he gets THIS one!

You know, I really enjoyed PoC, and we all know how I feel about Johnny , but an Oscar? Benny & Joon, Don Juan deMarco, Edward Scissorhands, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Ed Wood -- any of these could have (and SHOULD have) won him an Oscar for his acting. But for Pirates? I just don't see it.

(shrugs) Maybe they finally realized the mistakes that they made and want to try to makeit up this time around...

Now, who has seen Lost in Translation? Is it a good movie and did Bill Murray give a good performance?

I actually had plans to see it about 6 weeks ago, but got sidetracked and never made it. I've heard it was excellent! It may be one of those I see on video at this rate

I finally saw Love Actually last night. Great movie! It made me feel good and sad at the same time.
But it's still a good movie.

I quite agree with Princess about ol Johnny Depp, who was not as good in POC as in Whats Eating Gilbert Grape...a Shakspearnan Actor he is not...yet he sure is a Cutie Pie. yes siree Bob....

LOTR should take it all home if their is any fairness in Tinsel Town...which there isn't, in fact I will you all a Secret (haveing been Born and Reared in L.A.) The winners have already been picked. And these Actors/Actress already know it. Yes. They do. Sorry for the Disillusionment...yet look at winners back...see how they dressed and where they are seated at...and "acting" surpised? It their Job...quite literally.

Yes, jojo, I have heard that before, and I am not surprised. But then, we all know I'm a closet conspiracy theorist

Well, they must be very good at acting then!
Now, I hope LOTR wins this year... they really do deserve it IMHO.

I will not be watching due to my own Agenda of not allowing more media hype into my brain cells that are still detoxing from all of the pollution from 50+ years.

..and really since "they" gave Cher an Oscar for Moonstruck, I have become a very absent viewer...
