I know GR is a great FPS game, but does anyone here play TacOps 4. It's a tactical strategy simulation game, used by the US, Canadian, and New Zealand Armed forces for training. The graphics are not that great, TacOps primary focus is ground operations from the perspective of the battalion or regimental commander. The movement and interaction of infantry and armor units is treated with great detail.

So if you think you have the brains to be a battalion commander, Check out this game.

(Note: this game does in no way compete with or against GR sales, it is a totally different type of game, and I feel that it compliments GR game play by seeing recon units as part of a much larger picture.)

Haven't played TacOps, but I love Combat Mission. Been playing it for a long time now and can't get enough.

why do people post about different gmaes in the ghost recon forums. then again it is in the off-topic area

I'm not familiar with TAC-Ops 4 but I have played Tactical Ops "Assault on Terror"

I hated that game after everyone discovered the time honored tactic of the "bunny hop".

everyone constantly jumps in the game and the characters make what would probably be a 10 foot high jump.

Yeah, I remember when I was in the Army and my Drill Sgt told me, "Ok, if you ever make contact with the enemy and they start shooting at you, JUMP IN THE AIR! Jump as high as you can, and just keep doing it. While you're up there line up a head shot and make the kill."

Ahhh, the memories of basic training.
