hey guys,

Firstly, id like to say hello as this is my first post here. I'd just like to say the compulsory:

Myst, Riven and Exile rock!!

Ive got and completed all 3 (on to Uru now, so far impressed...i like the fact i have my OWN age, Relto ) but i still keep going back to them..riven especially.

So, on to my particuliar post.

Can anyone give me advice on how to change the endings. I read on a site how to VAGEULY change the outcomes but found it very difficult to follow. The main one i wanna know how to do is get Atrus to come to Riven but Gehn is still on riven!!

any help would be greatly appreciated.. thanks

UK far cry,

If you do not trap Gehn, for instance if you have the combination to the telescope's pull-up door and cause the telescope to crash through the glass barrier before trapping Gehn/saving Catherine, your "main" alternate ending will occur.

There are other endings; for instance, you could trap Gehn, but then without freeing Catherine go back to Temple Island and do the same thing... actually I do not recall exactly what happens then, but I think Atrus will return and be very disappointed that you have not freed Catherine. And you could also refuse to go into the prison book the third time Gehn offers it to you; that will be a VERY short ending!!!

Trapping yourself in the prison book right after you get to the 223rd Age (before you encounter Gehn) produced a rather interesting ending. I also trapped myself in the prison book when I first got it back (I didn't realize what it was ) and that produced a short alternate ending.
