as of the recent 1.3 patch ubi has sped up the game by removing bullet hole puffs on the walls.

now when i shoot the action is a minimum the special effects are not there to spice up the action.

i would much rather take the fps loss for the wall puffs or maybe a toggle on off switch.

and dont try one puff for every 5 or 10th shot thing i want one puff for every bullet hole.

I have to agree with you, I would rather see the return of the dust particles for ALL bullets.

I have lost track of the number of times the dust puffs have helped me......either letting me know how my aim is when shooting at long range, or knowing that I am being fired at at long range (eg on peaks map) and knowing from which direction it is coming from.

I understand the reasons why UBI took this action but please in future make such things an option so that those of us who are lucky enough to get good rates of fps already can choose whether or not to sacrifice some of the "eye candy"

    Thanks

I agree. Taking out fx is not the answer. Coding...coding...say it with me....coding.

Yup, bullet effects help alot. Make it a toggle.

UT2003 and all its crazy other-world effects doesn't slow down on my system like RvS does. Does UBI have any other Unreal engine games that perform better?? I guess their developers are really learning as they go...

all u guys do is complain.

if u look in options under graphics settings, u can set the delals to high, low or off.

hope this helps u and stop flaming these boards.

No it doesn't. Particle effects are not decals.

What ever they did to improve FPS somehow decreased mine from 60-80, to about 15-20 on average. And if smoke/gas is thrown, or people fire at me...a nice RvS slide show.

    UBI, RELEASE THE SDK!!!
