Which one would be better, 2x512 2700(333) or 2x256 3200(400) or even higher like 3500(433).

Ok then, i'm upgrading my pc soon, so this is what i'm looking at and why i asked. OS will be XP pro,

Intel Pentium 4 2.8E GHz 800MHz FSB, 1MB L2 Cache, Hyper Threading Technology
MSI 865PE Neo2-PFS Platinum Edition board
    new HD
new case with lots of fans
and i have a stick of 512 2700, so mainly wondering if i should get another of the same or if the above is faster even tho its smaller size.

Definitely not 2x256mb. 2x512mb is the way to go. The brand/speed/CAS depends on what you can afford and what the mobo supports.

    WHooooa nelly!

Ok, I am not an Intel dude, But something caught my eye here.

You are getting an 800mhz fsb cpu. Intel Multiplies ram X 4 to get 800mhz because info is quad pumped. SO, Doesnt that mean He needs a minimum of PC3200(200mhz x4) in order for his system to operate correctly?

In other words, Unless you want to OC your PC2700 ram or Underclock your cpu, You Have to get at least PC3200.

I would recommend at least 768 of ram if you are going to upgrade. This game plus XP can use near 700mb at times.

    Good Luck!

Thanks for the help. I'm still thinking about either intel or amd actually. Just trying to stay around $500 maybe a lil more or so.
