Getting the tail markings lined up properly was a real pain and the white rectangles on the fuselage of the original print were apparently strips of canvas covering bullet damage - I dispensed with such extraneous nonsense (nothing to do with being too lazy to include it of course).
Otherwise pretty accurate.

I think you've done another bang-up job!

The MiG-3 section of kithobbyist.com has alway been an incredible place.

Hey, any chance that you can do White 36 from that same source?

White 36 should be reasonably easy, maybe I'll have it done tonight (UK time)! Otherwise cheers for the praise guys.

Yeah, I've always liked that one. I worked it up for Il-2 and discovered that the star is on a different location for the 2xShVAK and the AM-38 models.

DomB puts my work to shame however and I'd love to see what he'll do with it.

Despite the BiC Lighter's reputation for firing up, I always liked flying the MiG's.

No one ever accused me of going with a n00b plane when I was in a MiG!

In a word -- superb.

I've never seen a red star tilted like in that picture. Is that accurate?
