Hi,
Am in the room at the top of the elevator, trying to place the marbles correctly in the 3 viewers. Am very new to this type of puzzle and am tearing my hair out. Have looked at all the previous answers, BUT ... need very
easy advice please.

Unfortunately, without posting a picture of the settings (which i have no idea how to do anyway), there's no easy way to explain this puzzle. The best thing I can tell you is that you can focus and zoom in using the levers on the viewers, and move the viewer around by "grabbing" the picture with the cursor and dragging it. Do you know what it is that you're trying to line up in the viewer? When you get that as closely matched and in focus as you can, look at the marbles -- each one should lay either directly on a line or directly halfway between two lines. So if they don't, tweak them.
Sorry -- you've probably already read that somewhere in this hints section. I hope it helps!

Actually, the job in this puzzle is not to place the marbles, it's how to work out how to place marbles somewhere else.
You will have noticed that there are four 'tusks' on the island. You are in the middle one. The viewers are aimed, roughly, at the three other tusks.
You will see etched onto the screen of the viewer a symbol. This symbol also appears somewhere on the tower the viewer is aimed at.
You need to find the symbol that appears on the tusk through the viewer, and match it exactly to the symbol etched on the glass. You can do this by moving the cursor on the glass (to move the image), and using the levers to zoom and focus.
The position of the viewer is coded by the position of the four marbles. Copy down this code for each viewer, and note which tusk it relates to. You will need it later on...
Thanks you for your quick info - very helpful - I still haven't managed the 3 viewers yet, but am getting there.
