During install,disk 1 loads ok,it then ask for disk 2,and prolly 3/4 of way through,says wrong version is in,pls load disk 1,and when I do that,either by hitting continue or try again,install goes kaput,bye-bye...any suggestions ?

Dump the contents of the cds onto your hdd and install it from there.
