I Found Out Why People Get Low FPS | Forums

Ok look.
Im not a genius but I have just found out why people get poor FPS for Raven Shield.
First off if you have a good graphic card such as ATI Radeon 9000 the game should look fine.
If it does then congrats; but you still wonder "Why does my game freeze so much".
Here is where I come in.
Recently looking at a topic about DARE Audio I realized that everyone isn't working on the SOUND for RvS except they are working on the graphics to make them look realistic.
So I went ahead and played around with the DARE Audio crap.
I added ALAudio.dll and DefALAudio.dll and nothing happened.
An FPS Increase of about 5 or 10.
So Now at the main menu screen i have about 30-40 FPS.
I went to my Sounds control panel and clicked on Advance for Speaker Settings, and then the tab "Performance".
There I found "Hardware Acceleration". I have 4 options
1: Emulation Only - 2: Basic Acceleration - 3: Standard Acceleration and 4: Full Acceleration.
I tried 3 and 2 and now my FPS on the main menu screen is about 190-200+ I go ahead and scream like a lil' punk and say I am the best. Ladida.
So I go ahead and play with the "Sound" settings in Raven Shield and play.
So once playing in Room clearing 1 I see that if your with your Raven Shield Teammates the game slows down. And if your evil and try to TK them you will see your FPS will increase. You take off "Dead Bodies" and you will see the FPS Increases also!
So my conclusion to this mystery every has about why the game has poor FPS and game "lag" if you may call it.
The sound is not working properly.
So I go ahead and ask the Raven Shield crew to revise and try what I just did or w/e and try to fix this becuase I am tired of testing. I wanna kill and own.

So you got 200 FPS on the menu screen..who gives a crap? I don't give a sh*t what my FPS is in the menu, I want my FPS to be high IN THE ACTUAL GAME...

***, it made my FPS better everywhere. Read Above about 5 times so you can understand.

How old are you?

I would guess mayby about 12 years old.

i have an extremely hard time beliving your fps increased that much...

screen shots please.

low sound configs (at least on my machine) only give a maximum 10-12 fps improvement.

Sorry, sound is something you can not do without... esp in multiplayer. You need to hear people who want to sneak up on you.

Sorry I cannot send screen shots,
When I save a screenie the FPS says 1 FPS
and everything is blurry.
But yo yo I don't care don't beleive it.
It works fine for me, im not in your shoes so I don't care.
I helped out and if you don't want to try it or what not, I can careless. Thanks alot

well, then I choose not to belive it... if you refuse to back up your claim, then I can't understand why you would argue this point.

I have tried your little fix... like I said, sound suffers too much for too little increase...
