I edited "HUD messages texts, etc." into Japanese by UNICODE format. However, fonts are not displayed.

It was displayed normally that UNICODE format described the character which used umlauts for the trial.

    Can't IL-2 Forgotten Battles display 2-byte characters?
If 2-byte characters can be displayed, it can be used also in Korean or Chinese.
If there is the method of displaying 2-byte characters, please let me know.

    Thank you for your consideration.

I'm not sure if Japanese text is supported.

    Hmmm..

Umlauts, and other European characters are part of the standard (Western) Windows character list.

FB must be able to display the Cyrillic alphabet too.

IIRC, Oleg mentioned some very good Japanese online pilots using the sim.

My guess, is that this is a font problem ... as in ...

"Do you have the right Japanese font(s) for FB?"

I'd guess you need the default Windows fonts for Japan, and to install those.

I am using WindowsXP SP1 of the Japanese version.

Although Japanese fonts, such as "MSMINCHO.TTC" and "MSGOTHIC.TTC", were copied to "\IL-2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles\lib\fonts" etc., it was failure too.

I think that a cause is in the font specification in a program. However, I do not know where a patch is applied.

I am glad if it solves by update.
