Thread: A Question to those who own the game, and tried the demo. | Forums

  1. #1
Does the retail version seem to run any better then the demo did? I am saying this because the demo ran rather slowly on my PC (anywhere from 9-25 fps on the train and 5-15 fps in the jungle) and I am kind of hoping that maybe Ubi made a few adjustments to the game before releasing that makes it run a little better.

    Thanks

tbh m8 i think it might be your graphics card that will becausing the slow down and i dont think much would (or could) have been done to help this...you could try turning down the graphic settings because the game does require rather highly from the graphics card.

In the demo changing quality doesn't have any effect on my fps.. according to Fraps.. any way else to see my ingame FPS ?

I was reading in another forum that one person had it go slow on their computer, but then they got the real version and it ran much better. If not, you could get a graphics card and hope for the best.

Hmmm... in that case, it's probably not your video card--I'm running a Radeon 9600, and it ran beautifully with all the settings all the way up (except for the resolution, which was second-highest, and only then because I refuse to play games with even a single dropped frame).

They say that if you play a Windows Install CD backwards, it plays satanic messages. That's nothing--play it forwards and it installs Windows.

This is what I was hoping for, maybe I saw the same thread in the other forum? Any other evidence of this happening?

i have the same worries as you...i have a Radeon 9200 SE, with 512MB of RAM and AMD Athlon 2000+, and the demo was choppy as heck for me, but the original splinter cell ran smooth as butter. i hope for the best.

I have ATI Radeon 9200SE too. The original (demo) didnt run smooth for me though. I never actually tried the retail. Which were you talking about steven, the demo or the retail running smooth as butter?
