Ive tried to install tons of times, and i keep gettin windows installer error 1106. dunno whats goin on.
System:
P4 2.4ghz/533
512mb Corsair XMS
Asus P4PE
Radeon 9500 Pro (driver 3.10)
Sound Blaster Audigy 2
It never gets past 1/4 of the way before the installer crashes.

Seems like the install package is corrupted.. Just redownload

Well, i dl'ed it about 3 times, just to make sure, and it never worked. I did a repair on windows xp, and it reinstalled everything in the windows folder, and now it works like a charm. Im messing with the settings in game now, and i can have everything on high except for water and lighting...those two make it mess up big time. if water is on anything but low, all i see is blue. if lighting is on anything but low, i can see the walls in the sky, like the borders and stuff, i dunno what thats called. everything else works great, and doesnt slow down at all.

If you'd use catalyst 3.9 drivers, it might work even with everything in very high
