Ok, here is what I got.

    Cable modem
    DI-604 D-Link Router

I want to start an internet server. Trouble is my friends can see the game in the list, they just can't join. We have also tried Join IP.

The game seems to latch onto the LAN IP and I cannot change that. I think thats the problem, My 192 IP shows up in the server info screen.

I went to my IE and then to the router settings. I set up Raven Shield with a range/trigger of 7776-7778. I set both my drop down windows to both.

I also set my PC up in the DMZ and allowed it to be visable from the internet.

Any thoughts on what I need to do to get this thing squared away ?

    Update.......

I added some things and made some changes after reading it here.

"For linksys routers, or any other NAT device for that matter, you need to add the following line to the server.ini file: ServerBehindNAT=True"

    I also added ports 5777, 6777, 7777-7780, 9777 and
    27900, all UDP only.

My PC is in the DMZ.

I don't see a place to disable "Block WAN Request" on my Router though.

Still no go. The guys can see my server etc. Just can't join via internet or Direct IP.

    This is getting frustrating.

Same problem......would love to host games but can't. RvS uses my 192 ip and I can't be seen on the server list. Very frustrating.

If you have 1 ethernet card and it is hooked directly to your router, try setting up a STATIC IP address for your machine (you can do this via your router). Check the Network Connections control panel and make sure there is only 1 listing there for LAN or High Speed Internet and not another for Broadband, since this is where Raven Shield gets the IP address.

Since my ISP switched to using PPPoE for my DSL, I'm having the same problems as you guys and the only way to get around it is to use a router set up as above.

    Good luck!
