ok first things first.
here are my pc specs.
Alienware Area 51
3.2 gig processor
2 gig ram
120 hardrive
GEForce FX 5900 Ultra
Audigy 2 6.1
NEC 19 inch monitor
Klipsch Promedia 2.1
Lite On 52x32x52 CD-RW
Lite On 16x DVD-ROM
now even with all that my game still runs
a little glitchy. I have updated my Nvidia drivers.
also make damn sure that u turn on the fog table
emulation or u will just get a blue screen when
game starts to play. and yes mine also stops
at the very end of the loading bar for a few
seconds before gameplay.
also here is a little tip that may help
a few of u out there.
go to your desktop icon or your exe. file
right-click on it. then go to properties.
then in the target bar add____space -use11__
at the end. and no not the _ too just the -use11 part.
this should force the game to use pixel shader 1.1
which will be a little ummmm crappier graphics, but
it should help run a little better anyhow.
now im not to sure if it will work on this game
for i have not tryed it yet myself.
but it usually works on most pc games.
but to end this long *** thing, i say
it may run a little glitchy.
but it is still 1 hell of a game.
its a must have for all pc gamers.
and i will say i figure its just more of
like a beta version demo. at least i damn sure
hope it is anyway, lol ! !
my suggestion to Ubisoft would to be
to fix a few bugs here and there, as in the
disappearing and reapearring trees and birds.
and the diff video card probs.
and to actually read these forums.
it may take them some time to read it all but.....
it would be worth it in the long run.
for the forum holds some very valid points made and some very good suggestions for this game also.
with that said its time for me to go and sniper
some more ***, man i love that gun hehe ! ! !

no, its proving our point that you wasted your money going with nvidia thinking they are the best, and cant even run DX9 games in their proper mode, and even in mixed mode in lower FPS rates.
-
Sounds like someone cares a bit too much which graphics cards people own.
-
The nvidia DX9 vertex shader 2.0 problem is a Half-Life 2 bug. Read the news "clap-back". No other DX9 game is affected - especially not with new drivers. That "mixed mode" was a bad try - valve reconsidered it and fixes the HL2 engine at the time being.

a lot of ppl with high end machines, including me r having performance troubles with far cry. Im not sure its a nvidia problem (if nething nvidia cards should own far cry as it was made for nvidia tech). But ive spoken to ppl with p4 3 ghz 9800'z and 5900's who cant get a decent fps in ne resolution.
Ive tryed evything under the sun to get the demo to run nice on my system, to no avail. the Majority of ppl r seeing really good performance, which is promsing, but there is definetly a few bugs slowing down other users, not 4 lack of hardware.
I really hope they r adressed bcuz the game looks great
-P4 2.53
-1024 333mhz
-fx5950 oc'ed to 525/1000
