Thread: Aces exp pack correct install order? | Forums

  1. #1
After ages I am finally back with IL 2. Took forever getting my new computer together.

But now itâ´s indead running my A64 runs at 2,8 gig at the moment.

Anyway I installed first IL 2 FB then directly the Aces expansion pack and then the latest Aces 1.04 patch from il2sturmovik.com

Now when I start the program it takes 5-10 minutes to get to the welcome screen. Like I am having 100 % CPU utilization all the time? Everything maxed out in the setup menu at 1600x1200.

Got a 6800 ULTRA and 1 gig of RAM so that shouldnâ´t be the problem.

You also need aces 2.01. The 2.04 is not an inclusive patch.

okay can I install that over 2.04 or do I install 2.01 and then 2.04 again?

I think it was a stereo3d issue because I got it working now without stereo3d though.

    install 2.01 first overwriting
    install 2.04 second overwriting

The beauty about patches, if you get the sequence wrong, reapplying in the correct order corrects the install.
