Why is the system so extremly instable. Yes I know we are running a beta version, But running a beta system dosenâ´t have to mean that the conection is flipping out all the time. If there is bug an problem inside the program is one thing. But! Having different problems to connect should be a problem that is possible to solve. I was ( I write was) rather sure that Iâ´would subsribt to the pay version, because I like the atmosphere, the game, yes the hole concept. But I hesitate, because the instability.

I have the last days sufferd from several differnt log in problem.

1. BSOD
2. Crash when autoficicatind (or what the h-l its called i english, difficult word)
3. Unable to load update files

Thisd afternon (swedish time (west -9) I couldnâ´t log in because of "inable to log uptade files" After several tries it worked, and it worked fine. NOw 8 hours later (as normaly) Iâ´m stuck with the BSOD. I think this is unacceptele!! I think that a game (beta or not beta) who seems to live itâ´s own life take to much of my time, temper and makes me to f--in frusteded. I want to play the game when Iâ´m able to do it. I donâ´t want to try, and try, and try to log in and fall on my knees and tham the migthy (Dâ´ni) that Iâ´m allowed to join the game again. Iâ´m not going to say Iâ´m sorry, but Iâ´ve have to vent. Because Iâ´m starting to get p--ed

I have the same problem with "Still not updated after 3 attempts, quitting".
I havnt been able to play since yesterday and I have tried a hundred times.
Today I thought it was something wrong with my URU instalation (the last time I could play URU crashed with an error message) so I reinstalled the game.
At first I thought that everything wad going to be fine.. It started updating and I so on. After a while (when the update was finnished) it shut down, and I restarted it.. Then the same thing happend again as had happend before the reinstallation.. I dont know if it could be the 1.2 patch that have some strange bug or something, but I cant play right now and I want it fixed.. =/
Another thing I have thought about is if it has to do with that i have to have the squid proxy installed. I have BBB (an ISP here in sweden) and some how I cant play without a proxy on my computer. BBB Doesnt have any cache proxy or any proxy at all, so thats not the problem..

What ISP do you got?
Could someone please help us with the connection problems?

Nja, när det gäller det rent tekniska är jag inte sÃÂ¥ vass. Men jag kör cable via com hem. Dessutom har jag en brandvägg som ligger aktiv hela tiden (Zone alarm). Det har aldrig egentligén ställt till med nÃÂ¥gra problem. Vad jag retar mig pÃÂ¥ är att man kommer in i spelet som det kan tyckas slumpvis. Detta löser ju inte dina problem( som om jag förstod dem rätt var att du inte kom in alls.

Mitt ofline fungerar inte. Jag fÃÂ¥r besked om korrupta filer. För min del är det ointressat eftersom jag är klar med offline

De senaste veckorna har det strulat jättemycket. Jag har aldrig brytt mig om att avinstallera/nyinstallera eller sÃÂ¥, utan bara avaktat och försökt logga in senare eller nästa dag. Och dÃÂ¥ har det alltid funkat, fast mer eller mindre dÃÂ¥ligt. Ikväll (22-24) var jag inne och snurrade utan nÃÂ¥gra som helst problem,fast jag tidigare idag rÃÂ¥kade ut för att det inte gick att installera nÃÂ¥gra updatefiler. När jag kom in blev det tvärnit med totalsvart skärm. Nästa gÃÂ¥ng blev jag utslängd medan programmet laddade (laddingsfönster längst ned)

Det är det jag menar med att systemet är instabilt. Det som funka för en halvtimme sen, funkar inte nu...

Jag la en inbjudan( i general chat) till imorgon kväll (lördag 22.00) till det Neigbourhood som jag hör till (Calahanâ´s Saloon 41) riktat till just oss Skandinaver, Där lär vi inte lösa nÃÂ¥gra tekniska problem, men kanske andra. Hoppas du kommer in till dess, välkommen, stenis

Sorry if I didnt write in english in my last reply. I just forgot to. Actually I have no solution to the problem Cyoor got. Iâ´m just analyzing and reflecting

Cyoor,

Unless you have a Radeon video card and experience severe video-related problems immediately after a game reinstall, do NOT install the version 1.2 patch. (But do update your video card drivers.)

From comments in this Forum and my own experience, the patch very often creates more problems than it solves. And you don't need it anyway, since it becomes outdated immediately when you go on-line in the Prologue or do an off-line Update.

The "Still not updated after 3 attempts, quitting" error is due to heavy server loading, and probably not your system. I sometimes have to try logging in 4-5 times in rapid succession when getting that error, before being successful.

I have updated about 3-400 times during the last 24 hours and nothing have changed.. =(

I think almost everybody got the "still not updated after three atemps, quiting" note. I got it everytime and had to try 4-5 times to get in, Thats just the one of the thing this thread is menaning by mention that the system is unstabable. Is it really the mening that you should sit at click again and again like an imbecill, facing the silly comment quated above?

Its a big diffrence between 4-5 times and 300-400 times..

I have reinstalled now, and now i just get "Downloading updates" and then after like a min i get "Unable to update file"

Will reinstall again now and see if I can do anything diffrent.. (Ive reinstalled like 8 times this far)

Now Ive reinstalled everything and came back to the "Still not updated after 3 attempts, quitting" error.

And thats on a clean install that i just tried URU live on = failed.
