Thread: Is there a way to reset trackIR during a game? | Forums

  1. #1
Ever once in awhile my trackir gets super hyper and starts jiggling... extra sensative. I would love to be able to Alt-Tab out and reset it back to normal but im at a lose. If i turn off trackir and start it back up Lockon doesnt reconize it. Currently the only way that i know of to fix it is to shut down both trackir and lockon and restart. Any advice would be great.

You should have a recenter key, I use #5 on the number pad as my recenter. You have to set it up thru the TrackIR program. I forget which tab it is in, but you can turn it on and off also.

rgr that cali, I have both of those option set up on my x45 but this still dosnt fix the issue. It becomes so jitter that its almost un usable. Im looking for away to alt-tab and shut down trackir all together then start it back up and lockon recongnizes it.... or any other way to resolve this issue.

    Thx

Perhaps look for a source of the jittering.

Is there a light source (lamp, window w/sunlight) or reflective surface (mirror, picture in glass frame) behind you?

False returns from the above is the only thing I've found that causes problems.

I had this 'jittering' problem with my TrackIR in IL2-FB using version 3.xx software. Never found the cause or cure.
So I went back to 2.xx software which works flawlessly.

I have this problem sometimes, main cause is flying in the afternoon and forgetting to close the curtains in the dining room, lots of extra light source from behind.
