Most astonishing bit of data in there for me... most song requests by a single use = 8048 !!!
Also interesting to see which artists have dropped out of the "Top 40" from the previous list... and I was surprised that Rush is not in either list, yet was voted the best DLC of the year by the people who follow the Riff Repeater blog.
I love seeing these infographics. I don't know why, I guess its a peek behind the curtain. I like lists, so I like seeing what the top requests are, and its also great to see the amount of songs being requested and played daily. As far as the new bands in the top 40, I have requested 5 out of the 9, and I've seen one pack arrive recently from those requested artists. I also liked seeing the decade representation percentages. For some reason I thought we had way more '70s music than we do.
Its also interesting to see what artists are no longer in the top 40:
Rage Against the Machine
Stevie Ray Vaughan
All artists we've seen packs from, so I wonder if people's appetites for these artists have been sated(I doubt it). We've had 12 songs from Foo Fighters, and they're still in the top 40.
I still wish there was an updated Request App. I know for a fact that I have requested the same song multiple times, and I've just forgotten. I don't have a very organized way of requesting. Usually when I listen to something I like I will go to the app and make some requests. It would be fun and helpful to see what I've requested. I would also be very satisfied to find out just how many songs I've requested as well.
Again, really? Of course the top ten most played will be on disc songs. Can we not also get the top ten most played DLC?
Yeah, I think the early missions drive people to a few of those songs as well. I know, for me, La Sera was one I'd never heard before and wouldn't be one I would have gravitated to, but I ended up playing it several times because the missions suggested it.
It would be great to really see the songs that people are buying and playing because they like them.
To celebrate the milestone of 1000 playable songs in Rocksmith: Remastered, I conducted a brief interview with Manager of Musical Content, @BrianAdamMcCune and Director of Design, Paul Cross (@CrossieRS) regarding Licensing, Our wonderful community, the request app, and of course... Metallica.
