Thread: More problems... | Forums

As soon as I reach the research cave entrance (right after the checkpoint) it begins to slow down in an odd way. It will run perfectly smooth for like 5 seconds, then freeze completely for like 15 seconds. This repeats, with the freeze time increasing with each interval until my computer finally locks up.
What is odd is that the first Far Cry demo ran perfectly, and this problem only occurs as soon as I enter the cave. Help! Please! Anyone!

I'm running Win XP on a 2.4 Ghz P4. My graphics card is a GeForce 4 Ti 4600 using the 53.03 drivers. I have 512 MB of RDRAM. My motherboard is an Asus with an intel 850 chipset running with 533 Mghz bus.

some people say their system slows down inside the caves, in my case it doesnt slow down but i can actually turn AA in the cave and it runs smooth, at x6

just wait until the game is released to get rid of those nasty little glitches :|

i get horrible slowdown in the cave but only when i turn my flashlight on, it jumps from a steady 40 fps to a paltry 25 fps, still playable, but annoying.
