    Although somewhat of a noob to FB I must say that it p***es over MSCFS3!!! The graphics are excellent and the level of realism is superb.
    In my opinion, however, there is one big drawback...I am dog tired of flying around and waiting for something to happen. Surely there must be a way to simply skip to the action?!?! If there is then would somebody please tell me how? Even with the time setting on 'X8' it still takes forever.

    You can modify the mission distances used by the dynamic campaign generator in the conf.ini. Add this line at the bottom:

    MissionDistance=xx

    where xx is the length in km. Generally, about 30 is a short as it'll go. Some missions may default to longer routes as events warrant.

    I think, with time, you'll get used to the sim. It's not supposed to be an action game, so keep that in mind. You should also try flying online if you want some quick furball fun against some very talented fighter jocks.

    But that's just it! You have to fly for some time, it's just realistic. I actually started to enyoy this lately. Just accelerate time 4X and you'll be there in no time. If you are not a schwarm leader, tur on the autopilot before you taccelerate.

    shutup this game is not realistic one bit cfs3 at least had correct climb and dive accelaration, reverse roll, reduced roll and energy bleed from constant rolling nonstop the simulated stick pressures above 750kmph that gradually locking up your controls forcing you into a unrecoverable dive, you need to trim out of. in fb we just have a tiny bit of stick pressure and hit a certain speed one alieron pops off and opposite rudder pops off but you can still recover no problem. Get hit in one wing and loose your control cables in the rudder and elevator seeing in arcade=1, the infamous collision bug where 1 plane survives unharmed 80% of the time. cfs3 has horable graphics tho and lots of cheating, fbs attention to cockpits no other flight sim compairs to at all

    This game just has great difficulty settings and graphics.

    FB is pure arcade and everyone who has flight experience knows it honestly. And its still a blast and a fun game but fustrating even for people who do very well at the game. a flight sim cant be realistic without accurate dive accelaration, severe headshake from some of these 5-6g flopping manuvers, decline in opposite roll rate and complex engine management is so off. Fs2004 is right on when it comes to CEM. This game you gain speed faster in a dive past 650 with 0 pitch and can manage your energy much longer then with full trottle and 100 pitch which bleeds off 990kmph to 540kmph in 15 seconds with aircraft like the p47. almost no feel of engine torque so many things not even worth listing cause its on def ears or to proud to be wrong ears. 109s out turning almost all aircraft becuase of how fast they can trottle back from 680kmph to 440kmph and out turn spits, rather then making spits turn even better then they do now fixing the 109s super decelearation would be a better solution. look at the g2 it can turn inside the spit p40 hurricane b239 zero.

    But sustain speed turns are accurate but the max turn sharpest turn bleeding off speed needs to be looked at.

    wasnt the f2 and f4 suppost to turn better then the g2?

    so with 2.03 they are going to make the spit have a better rate of turn then the p40 and hurricane have better competition with the 109s which are far better then the okl aircraft and much easier to use. Look at the VEF stats, its becuase of the trottling back super turn ability 109s can even out turn las easy even with the las super accelaration. The yak is like a g2 fm with the 190a9s speed and roll.

    This game has the potential to be as close to the real thing as possible too under 30,000 feet.

    small square maps and horable high alt graphics is a step backwards i must admit.

    fs2004 looks just as good downlow witht he exception of water textures and high alt its simply stunning, the dynamic weather and real engine sound are absolutely amazing which add so much to a flight sim.

    Hopefully olegs Battle Of Britian will be everything us serious simmers have been looking forward to
