This forum is unique and I have only just recently discovered this.
I had thought the cameraderie and maturity displayed here was unique to the online Myst communities, that it was something about the Myst games that attracted people who could see the difference between a heated discussion and meanspiritedness.
I was mistaken. It is unique to THIS forum and THIS group of people.
This misconception recently cost me. I fear it may cost this forum.
By my blundering I have drawn attention to this small corner of the internet and may have opened it up to the very mean, nasty and downright childish behaviour that typifies most other places on the 'net.
I apologise unreservedly to this community for any hurt I have or will cause it.
Thank you all for the good times I've had here, and I pray they will continue.

? That now a lot of people from other forums read our board out of curiosity sparked by a controversy (has anyone else noticed a few threads that have 50 posts and over 700 view hits? 
)? What of it? Even if a bunch of obnoxious types do rear their ugly heads, they'll behave themselves or pay the price just like everyone else. I believe the personalities in our community are strong enough to keep our standards up. We know who we are and we know what we want. Your apology demostrates your devotion and quality as a member of this community, but it is absolutely unnessessary. No one here believes for a moment that you would ever have purposely attracted negativity. We love ya
