Hi all,
just got IL2, looks like a knock out game. As a PPL I like the flight models, they feel better than MS FS2k2/4.
Anyway, I tried to update to 1.2 using the various files but now I cant escape out of a mission to access the settings and controls menu or quit.
Maybe I updated with the wrong files in the wrong order, could someone tell me what the correct upgrade route is please?

There is a section of the conf.ini file (found in your main IL2 directory) that sometimes goes missing in upgrades. Open the file in notepad and make sure the following two lines exist:

[HotKey gui]
Escape=activate

If they're not there, add them and save the edited file, that should fix your problem. If not, post back here.
