Would people really go around with capacity magazines and fire randomly in real life?
No. Because you blow your cover/position.
Should be pretty fatal in real life except that's not the case in raven-shield!! Why?
Coz the maps are so small. Passageways are narrow. Further more, people could prepare "ambushes". Under ordinary circumstances, the ambusher will nail you first because he EXPECTS your presence, thus speeding up response time (target acquisition/acknowledgement bypassed). But it doesn't happen in RvS does it?
Coz of the stupid netcode. When someone pops out from a corner and you've got ur rets on the place his little head will pop out, the enemy sees you first. Haven't tested it, but there is no way that people have INSTANTANEOUS RESPONSE TIME - they aren't even EXPECTING a bloody target. (non-cmag user.)
So if they fix the netcode and provided us with bigger maps then cmags wouldn't be a problem.

A bigger problem with real-life high capacity magazines that this game doesn't simulate is jamming and feeding the chamber problems.

Agreed about jamming, Armed_and_DWI.
I think the game would simply be funnier without CMAGS.
And as already stated several times in the many odl posts, not every weapon could anyway use CMAGS. The bullup can't in real life, but it can in RVS. This weapon gets 2 advantages, then: scope and the CMAG.

I testet it severel times, and I agree. RvS Netcode is sh!t!
1.4 will hopefully contain the promised Netcode-Improvements.

No complain about the netcode, here, but I'm using ADSL. That may be the reason.

I use a 6mb bandwidth broadband. I live in Hong Kong. I play in Hong Kong servers.
In a "crappy" HK server I got 100 ping and big time trigger/appear lag!!!

I don't know about jamming specially since elite Rainbow
operatives would keep their weapons clean and in great
overall condition.
But as Mike Grasso (real life SWAT officer) have said:
"Cmags would get in the way".
But in the game (which claims to be realistic)
there is no penalty for using Cmags.
