Thread: Alternative Multiplayer online games? | Forums

  1. #1
Anyone care to recommend another online game to try?

I have Galaxies and toontown (My kids play them).

I'm not going to be hard core -- 1hr/day max -- so galaxies isn't really an option.

    TIA

ArmageddonMUD is a text-based multiplayer online roleplaying game. You can play a character that kills people or a character that is a seamstress and even a real seamstress (Discworld fans'll get that ).

Be warned though, if I modded at the forum I'd have to ban EVERYONE (language is there along with adult themes, same as in the game).

    P.S. It's free

For a non-violent community based game like Uru I recommend the following games:

A Tale in the Desert "Best MMORPG of 2003" http://ataleinthedesert.com/index.html

I highly recommend all URU players to go to this above all else. The opportunity to explore is mind boggling! Took me 6 hours to get from one side of the map to the other once.

ryzom.com looks very interessting (and a beta testing community of 3000 people is interessting too!).
Since I live in Europe and we do not have access to the WoW Beta or FF-Online yet, this game from a french developer sounds very promising.

www.mmorpg.com is a good source for MMORPGS with reviews and rating I use them all the time and they have about 100+ games on the site listed.
