Is it possible? When I right click on it, it doesn't give me an option to save. For good reason, i'm sure....

You need to use the PrintScreen key to capture it and then copy/paste/crop it with an image editing program like Paint, Photoshop or Paintshop Pro (to name a few).

If she's trying to save the entire enimation, yes. I read it as wanting to save an image from a Flash animation... Guess it could be either.

It doesn't list the URL for the image?

I wanted to find out how to save the entire animation to my hard drive (so I don't link it), so I could use it for a different thing...

Well, first off, just hunting in the source code won't always net you the address of the file - it could be scripted in and not appear, or even if you open the file itself there could be browser manipulations to now allow you to do a save or save as. But that is a good first step/trick to try.

However, what I have so far found to be a surefire method when most others fail (and that doesn't involve a Linux box):

Go to the page, fully load the animation and watch it. When it finishes, open Windows Explorer (or whatever) and root around in your temporary internet files for .swf files (flash in this case, or whatever file format you're looking for, be it a movie, sound, or image). Copy that file and paste it into another directory, and you've got your saved copy. Under 2k and XP, your temp files are (by default anyway) in C:\documents and settings\(yourusername)\local settings\temporary internet files

This, btw, is the technique I used to save my own copy of that xmas song a few threads down.

And I think in 95/98/ME they are in C:\WINDOWS\Temporary Internet Files
