Thread: Addon A-10 skin won't show | Forums

  1. #1
    Hi all,

Have installed the A-10 dark green addon skin by Mahdi Samir into the Bazar\TempTextures folder, as instructed, but when I go flying, I always get the default skin (light grey).

Have had this behaviour both before and after
the patch (which seems to have enhanced overall game performance). Clean re-install din't help.

    How could this be fixed?

you have to select the skin.

Open Mission, hit map, click on the white plane symbol, hit payload button and at the bottom left is a drop down box to select different paint schemes, the image will change to confirm your selection. You can save it to play that skin each time you play the mission or hit no for a one off skin.

    Hope this helps

Thanks Liam, u solved my my prob.
How stupid of me not to find that solution myself, but having just installed LockOn and some addons at the same time to spice it up even further, I had clearly neglected the basics in all my eager just to get flying. Obviously a case of rtfm.

Thanks again for putting me straight.

Btw cool pic of my favourite TV comedian!

    Cheers Uffe

    He is one funny guy,

No problem, I'm sort of new to this game myself and don't mind helping out when I can.

    Thanks Again

    Liam

Pre patch you had to actually rename the skin to OKRAS-R1.bmp and OKRAS- L1.bmp. Thats the default skins name (with the panther on engine cowling). When you install the addon skin, it installs as OKRAS-r.bmp and OKRASl.bmp.

Now you can just chose the skin under the loadout.
