Thread: ps2 server disconnects | Forums

Has anybody experienced server disconnects while watching or playing games on the PS2 server?

I just lost two games on different nights because the server kicked me out!

Oh well, it's not like my rating's that good any way... The point, though, is that maybe it is a general issue that ubi must be made aware of!

Correct me here if I am wrong, but isn't it Sony who is responsible for the online feature and servers? I don't think it's Ubisofts department.

    No,
Ubi phone support denied for a long time they handled the game servers, but finally came around and accepted they own them. Sony only built the hardware. Ubi owns the chess servers. I talked to Sony reps. and they say that they have never had anything to do with third party software or online services.

I must correct you, ubi.com does not handle the game servers; ubi.com just hosts the lobby servers (or the matchmaking servers).

The game servers are client hosted and, as I recall, you couldn't have lost the game unless you had a network problem, because the game was constructed to detect who "really" disconnected...
