ok, this seems to only happen to me.but everytime i go to the opyions menu the game freezes, sometimes it takes a few minutes sometimes it happens right away. anyone got ideas

heat? overclocking? powersupply?

All these things can cause random freezing.

well as to the overclocnking ... im not, my power supply is a 350 watts, and i have 4 or 5 fans cooling my box so i dont know if its all that.
i have set my direct 3d to high performance along with my opengl and still nada.

im running a
AMD ATHLON XP1600 at 1.4 ghz
with 768 mb of ram
radeon 9600 agp 256mb
internal dac (400mhz)

which cats are you using with your 9600? They seem to be really finicky with drivers.

not sure never messed with them nor do i know where to check for it

under your display properties click the advanced button and then the options tab. It will tell you your version number.

using your suggetion i went and downloaded the newest drivers from the cards sight and that fixed that problem but for some reason i cannt seem to engage the weapons or anything else

i loaded for the first install and the game was nothin short of the best sim going - i got a little slideshow gameplay when other jets are in the frame so i uninstalled through the game option and when i reinstalled the main menu loaded white screen with only the words on the rt. side visible. at this point the game crashes as i cannot select anything - reinstall/reboot variations get me nowhere. please advise!

Same for me.
Sim locks up when I exit out of A-10.
C/A/D only solution.
Anyone else/solution?
