A few weeks/months ago we were brought into this current forum. At that time I posted that with the new forum layout that we would likely lose a bunch of folks. In reply, a particular mod of the new forum said wait a while and it would be alright. I waited and it is not alright.

So far we have lost a large number of folks. Many just don't drop in and post anymore. Some post here and in another particular forum, where I sometimes go, it is a nice place. And some post on the other forum and say they will never return to this forum. Worse yet is that we lost two very nice mods.

I don't know what all the anger and fussing was all about and probably should not care. What I want to encourage is for those that are willing to post here, and be helpful on the Hints side as well, please do so. The way I see things is if the forum and folks are pleasant then stay with it.

It is sad to lose all those nice folks and do hope that those who are still posting here will stay. And I hope that some of the stay away folks will eventually drop in and share a howdie with us. When MystIV releases I hope to play and then become a Hints type helper there as well as remaining a MystIII Hints helper too.

Any newcomers feel welcome to browse and post. Existing members keep posting and continue your friendly ways. Drop outs, reconsider and come back to share a howdie if you choose. We will be glad to see and hear from you if possible.

This new forum has been as exciting as a cold shower compared to the previous forum. The format still is overdone with unnecessary 'features' and the quality of service has been very questionable - lost links etc. - but it is what we have. So, to current users and those that have left, let us see if we can overcome the forums deficiencies with lots of friendly, supporting posts, among ourselves.

Just joking . I know what you mean . Give it time . With so many " core " mumbers jumping ship , it while take awhile for friendships and the like to start up again .

Not meaning to diss anyone, but some people don't like changes. And this place can be a soap opera at times, and unfortunately, many of the dramatic events that happened earlier this year drove people off.

Well Howdy Bob.
My Posting here didn't drop off becouse of any "forum antics" or other "such stuff". It dropped off becouse of real world work.
My boss thinks my address is my truck number. which leaves little time for anything else.
This forum is the very first forum I ever visited. I do hope it remains. (but we gotta do something with the content)
Even tho I miss the members who have left, (and there are more than I can count in the three years I've been here) I will still continue to visit and join in where I can. (but we gotta do something about the content)
When I find something that tickles my fancy, I will post.

I've gotten lazy, I've just been reading the forum messages in my e-mail and not replying. We've lost the cozy friendly feeling we had here before, but I'll try to do better. I'm almost finished with MH5, and there a lots of people here who've never read it.

Well.....
I have been very busy at work (my prime time hitting this forum.) Plus doing a lot of yardwork/spring cleaning around the house. And I've been playing another PC game (Never Winter Nights.) Finally, I've been having LOTS of problems signing onto this forum (I had a problem today, I couldn't sign in...so I hit another UBI forum, signed in there automatically and came back here and was able to post...weird.)
Forgive me for not being as active as I previously have been...

I had a hard hit in the last couple of months with a good, close, cherished friend dying..needlessly. Yet, here I am and here I will stay for if not just a Sacred Carrot Giver then my Loyalty speaks of the Gardens.

Two days and 70+ lookiloos and 7 responses, not bad.

Kreeden you hit the spot with your spammer remarks. That is probably the biggest activity that is missing. A number of chatter box folks no longer post here.

Several have noted work and school activities that keep them busy. I wasn't trying to put guilt in anyones life. I was just noting that many folks have left. Glad you posted anyway.

Trucker, you mentioned content. You are the content as each of us are content. What else could content be?

I'm sure that Sky will be more available after she gets off her 60+ hours per week.

No one really slammed the old man for huffing and puffing so thanks for that. And Kreeden I am hoping your comment that time will help to generate more friendly connections on this forum comes true.
