What OS are you running? But overall an increase like that should make your system run smoother. Less disk swapping will take place, but only on a minor scale.

It depends on how your system run currently. If it is currently not too bad, you will get a small increase.

It will make a nice differance to your games though, making them smoother.

512 is better tahn 256, so it will be better, how much depends on your system, what you run, and how it is currently.

For Battlefield 1942, it will change every thing! But overall 512 is a very good upgrade, and very cheap.

It will probably give you say between 1 and 5 more fps, but the biggest differance you will see will be in smoothness overall, since there will be less disk swapping taking place.

It won't boost it that much, but it will help. It is a sensible upgrade to do.
