still wasn't needed, taxi driver or not. I'd like to see them crush my car for stealing some wood. The car had nothing to do with it. No wonder they hate us.
Obviously crushing a car isn't a legitimate way of dealing with looters, but at the same time, don't let the commentator fool you with old tactics of sympathy. It doesn't really matter if what they stole was wood, they are still looters. But this is an old topic that has already been discussed.
Conclusion: Just a bunch of teenagers with a tank. The end.

I'd like to point out that had he been caught by Muslim authorities they very least they would do would be to cut off this guy's hand. This isn't a very harsh punishment by the standards or that part of the world. All the 'geez, no wonder they hate us,' talk seems rather silly to me. The video is clearly meant to make an impact an Westerners, I doubt if it had much impact at all over there.

Sure it is! I would be willing to bet you were among the many that wanted us to go out and stop the looting too. But then find it easy to arm-chair quarterback the techniques we use. They knew it was wrong to loot. they continued to do it. They knew the risk and paid the price. I can tell you my unit handled looters differently, however the only thing I am slightly upset about this video are the "gangsta'" wanna be attitudes adopted by the soldiers in the video. Not to mention there was not need to shoot the car before crushing it other than to look cool.
And as far as your wanting to see them crush your car... Bring it to FT Irwin... I will be happy to do for you.
Also keep in mind... we (I use we as a term as I am in the Army and wether good/bad will accept responsibility for things we do) let them live.... Sadam's regime would not have. Nor would you have ever heard about it.
