On the Finnish maps I've noticed that the white edges to island coastlines in the distance look jagged, rather like a sloping line without any FSAA applied.

I've tried different combinations of AF, FSAA and tick boxes in the set up and nothing seems to change it.

Anyone any ideas how to remove this glitch?

I get this too.. I'm using cat 3.9 with ogl dll from 3.7
I've tried all possible combinations but the costlines look jagged in excellent and in perfect they look like the mapping is tiled and with no blendig..

    Anyone elese ?

    I'm currently running a Radeon 9800pro..

    Thanks

Same thing with a 9700 and Cat 3.9 or Cat 3.7 and 4x AA/2x ANISO.

Increasing the res to 1280 x 960 did help. The lower the res, the worse it seems to me no matter how high the AA is set.

Enabling multitexturing should at least help a bit...

    Thanks for the suggestion..
Multitexturing is already on, but it doesn't make any difference..

This seems to effect all Radeon 9xxx series graphics cards when playing FB due to the way ATI's cards handle mip mapping. ATI's mip mapping system seems to use jagged edges when they jump to a lower texture quality, this is noticable above 4000m altitude, even moreso on the winter map's forests. Nvidia cards use smoothed edges when the texture quality jumps to a lower level.

I purchased a 9800 PRO (Built by ATI) about 4 months ago and was dissapointed at the quality of the mip mapping and anti-ailiasing on this card at high altitude in FB. If anyone knows of a tweak to modify the way mipmapping for this card is handeled, let me know.
