Ive been messing around with the editor, playing around with the cave prefabs, but alot of them doesnt seem to fit very well with eachother, and that sorta kills my motivation.
The FarGate stuff looks pretty sweet though, thumbs up for that!

I'm hoping to do some indoor/outdoor maps, like buildings and stuff, but I was hoping I can model these in a different modeler and import them into Sandbox..

You should be able to import models from 3d Smax, or Maya 4.5

I will be but I'm waiting for more feedback on the editor before I buy the game. Seems rather inconclusive so far

I'm hoping to be able to do this without a plug-in. I want to model in Pro/engineer so I might have to find someone to convert models for me. Pro/E exports to a ton of different formats.

well for now nobody can...
if PTC pro/e allows you to export in the following format then someone will be able to convert for you into MAX (the officialy supported editor, as shown in cgf files since all the models packed in them are .MAX)

*Encapsuled Post Script: *.eps
Filmbox: *.fbx
IGES: *.igs *.ige *.iges

That's what I thought but didn't know for sure. We're waiting for the SDK?
Out of that list Pro/E exports, .igs, .wrl, .stl, .eps
I'll have to see what it takes in the editor to texture this stuff, might be more time then I want to spend on it. Or maybe I'll just offer to model man-made objects for other people's maps/mods..
