Thread: What an idiotic fin and nose on this car.... | Forums

  1. #1

Oh wait, this isn't a ricer. It was one of the most sought after cars from that era. But look at the size of that fin, people must have made a few comments about that as well in those days.

So, just as a point of interest, while we find ricers stupid, they are not the first, nor will they be the last, to put "weird" items on their cars.

    Ah, a ricer defender, lol.

At the very least, I bet that car was actually fast, unlike the junk we see on the road everyday that my way outdated piece of junk can beat any day of the week...

There's nothing wrong with modifying your car to make it better. There are tons of modifications that can make any normal car more efficient or better performers. Too bad these people spend all the money on the exterior and none on the engine. I have not exterior modifications to my car, all of the modifications I have are to the engine and other functional parts. I know plenty of people who "supe" up japanese 4-cylinder front wheel drive cars, except they put all their investment under the hood and they are actually very quick since they are inherently light weight, nothing at all wrong with that, but they, like me, laugh their asses off when they see a Civic with a big useless wing and big useless "fart can" exhaust tips.

I understand what your saying, some of the best street racers are the sleepers. And just so we understand each other, I am not defending "ricers", most of the cars are just plain stupid looking. As is this one in my opinion, but it is still highly sought after.

I blame Hollywood and Honda for making that movie

I had a next door neighbor that had that car. I will try and find the pic. I agree with Scrubber I thought it was ugly then and I think it is ugly now. I had a 69 Dodge Charger that had a similar shape to that plymouth (Roadrunner?) but no fin and nose job.

Hey, I never contested that. It's definitely an ugly one, but the existence of that doesn't make the current ricers any less stupid. It was ugly then, it is ugly now. But at the very least, I believe that car can whoop 90% of the ricers on the road right now. I've never been a fan of anything Chrysler, but they did have some fast cars back in the muscle car days.

    A truly lame looking vehicle.
Infact it reminds me a bit of Thunderbird 2 (from the original Gerry Anderson series).

That car can give any ricer a run for its money in a drag race but cant handle cornering worth a nickel. Chrysler had the weakest front end of any muscle car, very sloppy handling
