Hi all
I have problem with my joystick.
I have read that the red and green sqaure is supposed to be located in same but In my soystick profile, red one is far right behind
from green one. Meaning that whenever I hand off joystick, plane rolls right rapidly and climb a bit. I know there is 'trim' to adjust this but it seems the trim function won't effect until game finished after it is adjusted so that I have to hit the arrow key whenever I hand off the joystick.
Its quite annoying.
Is there anyway to make the trim effect on entirely or setting the hardware anyhow?
Mine is Logiteck wingman extrim 3d. I have checked wingman profile(something like that) and it seems the joystick works ok.
Looking forward to your comments.
Thank you

Hi,
D'you have any kind of calibration util in the stick software? If not, you might try checking in Windows Game Controllers (Start/Control Panel/Game Controllers) and see whether this shift to the right is visible there - if so it's a problem with the stick.
It might help to get the main axes recognised in the Hotas section of FB Controls. Do this by clicking to the right of the appropriate axis (i.e. Rudder, Elevator or Ailerons). When a small oblong window opens move the appropriate axis on your stick. If you find an axis is reversed just repeat and move the stick in the opposite direction instead.
You aren't necessarily going to get level flight when you take your hand off the stick, even when your stick is perfectly calibrated, 'cos trim is affected by other issues as well as stick position. Airspeed, prop-pitch, throttle setting and so on. But it does sound like a problem with yr Logitech

1. Recalibrate your joystick using the Logitech driver software (accessed via windows game controller utility IIRC).
2. If recalibrating doesn't work (it should), add some deadband.

Thanks Brando.
I checked game controller as your instruction and found that its about my old joystick.
Anyway, I recalibrated and it works much better. My joystick is quite old and its been a long time since it was placed on my desk. It seems handle twist dosen't work properly.
Tully, are you a guy whom I used to play with in EAW?. If yes, good to see you again.
Anyway, What does dead band do?

Deadband tells the game to treat a small part of the initial travel as still centered. How much depends on how much deadband you add.
And yes, I was in EAW, good to see you too
