For that last 5 years, I've been in Tulsa, OK., except for two years I spent in Dallas, mostly commuting as part of my job. Leave for Dallas early am on Monday, return to Tulsa late Friday nights. Am certainly glad that is over with.
Growing up, and for most of my life, I had lived in Montana, except for a few year away at college. Before leaving Montana for Oklahoma I lived in Billings, MT.

Hey, right on Cruiser! What a great Topic!! I was thinking about this after we were discussing time zones the other day. It's really interesting hearing about the real lives of the people sharing posts here, like Grizz describing the scent of Kansas wheat.

living in Benicia, the original Capital of California,
located on the north end of San Francisco Bay.
I've done a lot of backpacking and 4 WDing in CA and the high desert of Nevada and just joined a local Gem & Mineral group, which will allow me to work with the samples I've collected.
This is a picture looking down on the town main street which leads to the waterfront park & pier.

And this is a sunset taken from my back yard.

Want to share some of that rain Cordie? We're on heavy water restrictions down here in Melbourne, Australia...we seem to be running out of the stuff...except for that big ocean surrounding us anyway..but apparently that's not water or something.

It looks beautiful. What do you do for fun?
D-ir your pictures are great, and congratulations on your retirement, it doesn't matter when it was, just that you made it. I seem to have made a lot of friends in the California area this past year.
And FM, I don't know very much about Melbourne, I would think it's like the city of New York in size and they both love their lights.

That's the mighty Mississippi river. In that photo you're looking at Wisconsin. doesn't look much like the stereotypical farm fields, does it?

It's beautiful, did you take the picture from the Navis Caelorum? Do you do any fishing there, and if so, for what?
