Long weekend? I worked on Saturday. Have Sunday as a holiday. Monday and Tuesday are normally off, so I took Wednesday and Thursday off and now don't have to go back to work until next Monday!

Yep, that's one long weekend... I might actually get something done around the apartment... Scary.

The fire alarm went off at work this morning , not so bad except that it was peeing down outside then just as we were all streaming back in again it went off again. I'm still recovering from a cold I got last week and this isn't going to help. However I am going for a Chinese buffet (eat all you can) at lunch time so it's not all bad

I think that the weather has been exceptionally bad in a lot of places this week. We had two small water spouts that did damage on the beach.

I should make the usual feeble attempt of working on my tan today. The weather is absolutely gorgeous here. I just stepped outside and there isn't a cloud in the skies.

There's a light breeze and the cottonwoods have gone to seed. Little floating puffs of cotton drifting along lazily. The first tentative insects have finally come out. So, no swarms yet, but there's a few aimlessly wandering gnats and bees buzzing around. Still too sluggish to be a nuisance.

If I disappear for awhile, it's because I've gone to the park. Take what opportunities for sun when you can, right, Mr D?

I was just on my deck enjoying the same weather as Kestryl; watching the squirrels chase each other around the oak trees (I can't help but think of Prof. T now! ), listening to a crazy catbird trying to imitate a cardinal, the frogs are singing in the pond... you get the idea. It's been so misrable for so long, its just great.

It's a bit overcast today, but other wise very nice. There is also a breeze, I need to go open the porch windows (again). Great picture of the beach today for you bikini watchers.
BTW the time on the cam is an hour behind, time in the upper left is correct.

Well, other then a very severe thunderstorm that smacked us around the day before yesterday, things are fairly pleasant weather wise.

No tornadoes anyway although some folks were still without power. A local highrise finished just a year ago suffered some pretty severe damage. A lot of sheet glass came of the sides of the building, but nobody was hurt.

Today is Friday. Yay for the weekend!

Absolutely, Kest! Humans in the UK on the first days of summer are not a pretty sight, though - there's a sudden outburst of pale pasty flesh.

Ew. Pale, pasty flesh. Ew. I'm a little pale, but not pasty. Thankfully I do manage to keep some form of tan through the winter months... Won't catch me taking my shirt off in public just yet. Fortunately. Wonder if that hiking trail outside of town has any quiet spots...

Another bright sunny day, I'm thinking of just hanging out on my deck for a little color though. Have a nice day, and I'll see about sending some sun to the UK while I'm out there.
