There is something that is very frustrating for me, what is the First Person view doing there????? I mean, a stealth game is not meant to be in the FP perspective...

I have heard that you (the gamer) will be playing as Sam Fisher and somebody else...I hate this idea with all the passion I posses...I swear, if Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow continues this way, I believe Ubi Soft will f it up big time. I truly hope that Ubi sticks to the simplicity of the original Splinter Cell, with a new and great story, NO new gadgets (for this is what ruined Goldeney 007, it went from GREAT to HORRIBLE because of EA's useless Q-gadget thingys...), better levels/enviornments, new enemies...and please post anything else you want Spinter Cell: PT to hold.

Thanks, and go ahead and let me know if you like the FP perspective and the idea of being two different charectors.

The game isn't all in first-person, and a kind of first person was used in the first game, and this one looks better so there's nothing wrong with it. You are probably not two different characters, I bet Shadow Net is just for multiplayer and that you'll just be controlling Fisher in single player. What, no new gadgets!? This game could do with a few more. So what if Q-gadgets ruined James Bond, these are completely different games.

I agree... Please no First Person. Thats what Games like Rainbow Six and Halo are for. I enjoyed every aspect of the original SC (including the 3rd person view), maybe a few gadgets would be cool but not at the expense of the old ones

I think they should add a glass cutter for getting through big windows and leave the rest of the game the same. I also think they should add support for antiailising on the PC version. Other than that, all they need to do is make a cool story with some pretty envirements and you got a great game.

I think you toggle first person everytime you take your gun out. Most of the screenshots and the video are from the mulitplayer version, i believe. It wouldn't hurt though for Sam to have more gadgets, i have to disagree with you there.

the original SC was practically 1st person whenever you took your gun out. you couldnt turn the camera when he was holding his gun, and it brought the camera closer to him over his shoulder. i think they should add a dart gun as a new gadget.

Not really. The game required a third person view more so than a first person. It would be simply impossible to perform half of Sam Fisher's moves. Especially in the Presidential Palace, where Ubi Soft perposely makes you endure the mini obstacle course at the beginning of the level. It was certainly not hard, but think of how hard it would be in a first person view. I honestly think that you will have the option of first and third person camera angles in the multiplayer version, but the single player will be much of the same as the original. I wouldn't get worked up about massive changes to Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow in comparison to Splinter Cell. Yes, Sam does have a couple new moves, and gadgets. And there is on-line capabilities, and new maps of course. But the concept it essentially the same. Remember, this is not a sequal, but more so an expansion of the original. Kind of like Ghost Recon Island Thunder is to Ghost Recon for XBox.

I think in a case like this I would say i trust the producers, they did an outstanding job and unless I am mistaken Tom Clancy is in on this one meaning the gadgets will have a ceiling, in SC1 there were more gadgets than I ever used ... didn't once touch the ring airfoil other than to see what it did.

A few more gadgets would be nice, but maybe a slection step would be nice, select the gadgets to take beforehand. Just a thought. I too am worried about the sequel losing much of what the first one had but there is the possibility of it being better (Think of games like GTA, Dungeon Master, Need For Speed, Starfleet Command all games where the sequels were better than the good original game)
