It says 'Failed to intialize 3D software, Make sure Direct X 8.1 is installed. It IS installed. I installed Direct X 9.0 TWO times. And it still deos this, can you PLEASE help me? Thank you.

What video card do you have? Is it on the supported list?

and my video card is a radeon 9700 pro

is it a new card? (the 9700 is supported). What card did you have before? I'd completely remove the drivers and any previous drivers you have on your system, then reinstall them and see if that helps
