HI , I have just got Far Cry, the game runs fine on medium to low settings but I keep getting graphics problems. I can be in a forest and the floor will dissapear and I will be able to see the water under my feet. Parts of the cliffs and hills are also transparrent.

My sys spec is a p4 2800, 512ddr ram, 128mb gforce fx5200.

I have tried different settings but always get the same prob.

Any ideas what it could be?

What drivers are you using for your FX5200?

my driver is version 4.3.4.5
just installing the newer one now which is version 56.72

I have also changed to using OpenGl instead of direct3d9. which had fixed the problem. Is openGL ok to use?

Any joy with the newer driver?

Haven't tried OpenGL myself, but it is offically 'unsupported'. You should be able to get the game to run fine with DirectX.

Well, I'm kinda frustrated by this one. We have people saying OpenGL fixe the problem. But I've tried OpenGL on 2 different cards (5900, TI4400) on 2 different OSes (Win2kSP4 and WinXPSP1) and 3 sets of drivers 52.72, 6072, 61.12 and none of them play for ****.

On this last test of the 60.72s on a 5900. I get an all white screen at first, then it goes all black. Onlt thing I can see is the hud, nades and radar.
