X-box Crash....Black screen W/ White Box | Forums

Only about 5% into the game and so far it has locked up twice. The screen turns black with a white box in the center. Anyone else have the same problem? I've skimmed the forums and can't seem to find any similar issues. I have a 1st run X-box and know that they have had issues with other games in the past (KOTOR)
Any suggestions?

Might have to go for the "patchable" pc version........

I am experiencing this too. I also have a first generation Xbox. I'm about 17% through, and so far, I've had 7 lockups with the black background and white box in the middle. On the most recent lockup, the white box displayed a dirty disk error. I just opened the game today and it was brand new factory sealed too. The lockups are also totally random. The only think I notice about it each time, is my Xbox suddenly spins the DVD drive loudly, then the black/ white box pops up. Is it possible the Xbox is the problem, or were there faulty copys of this game produced? Anyone else with this problem?

I'm experiencing this same issue! I've had the game two days and it's happened 5 times already.
