I never really noticed this, so I'm gettin input from everyone else before I start making assumptions, but a spy was neutralizing an ND133 in 116 on Hospital, and I was behind my partner Merc (who had 1/2 health) tellin him that "Go flush him out, I'll watch the exits).

I see the Merc go in and the spy jumps on him, killin him. I went in and tazed the spy.

Right after tazing him (when the spy was standing, animating that he was gonna fall to the ground), I put 30 rounds (literally, the dead Merc was watching this all and confirming it) into him.

No death. The Spy then falls to the ground, and I unload another 15 or so (did this quickly because I had to get back to the other floor to cover the other spy), and that did the trick.

Quickly took the ammo bin in 116 for a reload (sure enough, I had 15 in clip and 90 in reserve.) and I moved on.

So are spies invincible right after the taze? Do you gotta wait til they hit the ground?

Don`t think so. I have killed many spies before they fall to the ground.
(Earlier patch though. Haven`t tried it later.)

This has happened to me also as merc. I just wait until they fall in fetal position on the ground then put one in their skull. Sometimes right after you taser them you can shoot them as well. Its random as are most things in this game.

Actually no it's not random. If you taser a spy he'll stand there with his arms outstretched for a few seconds. Shooting them now and you can kill them and move on. Then the animation starts where they go into the fetal position and you cannot kill them during this time. Once their in the fetal position you can then put one in the head.

When you shoot the spy in the body they take a **** load of bullets then fall to the ground, if you taze then shoot one bullet in the head they are all done for. Same if they are in fetal position, you can put 100000000 bullets in the body before they die or just one to the head.

Just like Sithduke said, when you taze a spy, you can kill him for a few seconds during the shocked scene. When the shock scene is over, the spy proceed to go on the ground. During that animation, they are invincible to bullets anywhere on there body. After they lie on the ground, you can start unloading your clip into them again.

I can definitely confirm what Sithduke said. As these others have.

Glad someone posted this, maybe this bug will be fixed soon. It's annoying and can get you in trouble if the other spy is climbing on something while you are waiting for the spy to fall down. :P

This may actually be the reason why the spies are invincible for a few seconds right after being tazed. It happened to me last night when playing. I tazed a spy and unloaded a few rounds at him probably around 10 shots. He didn't go down. After he fell, I added a few more shots and that did it. It gives the spies a chance for their backup to arrive and help.
