I cant get into BBGC any more my connection security is a bit ****...

it hangs for while when "Connecting, receiveing file catalog..." doing the "Client Update"

then it remains on the same dialog but saying:

"Sending file list..."

which never goes away so i cant login unless i press Cancel at which point it brings up the dialog login where it persists in thinking my username and password dont work! for all my nicks (not that I have many)

any suggestions people?

Could have something to do with your internet.
not sure tough. I assume you've tried a reinstall allready?

Maybe you have deleted a file within your BBGC folder, (The file list :S) If you get your file list back then it should work again, This probaply will solve the "not working nicks" problem aswell.

thanks mike ur advice is much appreciated and you've confirmed my suspicions in thinking that it is in fact my aweful security restrctions on my internet connection that is casuing the problems,


so basically im screwd

why??
i never have had a firewall of any kind and im ok...mind you i dont mind reformat my pc every so often.

ive reformatted loads, (last did it a few days ago) still have problem

am 90% certain it is my connection (not necessaryily firewall) but some other restrictive protectoin.
