    Hey!

I've been experimenting in Sandbox and made some kind of crappy map, but the problem is: how do I make a spawnpoint? I've put a ReSpawn trigger (TagPoint) and even Jack as an Entity on the map, but I still spawn out in the ocean!

Oh, by the way, I load my map trough the console, \map *mapname*

    Any help would be appreciated!

You need to call your Respawn tag point Respawn1, or some other number. The game will spawn you at the one with the lowest number. See page 79 of the manual.

Yeah, I've already checked that the Respawn point is called Respawn1. Anything else I have to think of, like Mission name, etc.?

Make sure you aren't trying to drag the respawn point off the menu (as though it was an entity). You just click on it, then click on the map. If you try to drag it you can grab a comment tag by mistake.

Make sure it is visible (as a glowing ball) by checking its coordinates. If you can see it as a ball called "respawn" then that is where you will spawn when you die.

Press Control-T to bring up the Select Objects window to see all the objects in your map. Make sure that you haven't accidently placed another spawn point on the map, that has found its way to 0,0,0. Sometimes when you are moving an object it disappears, and goes to this location by default. This can often cause problems with spawn points, and other tags. I once had three humvees racing each other around a track, and half way around, they would go crazy and veer off in completely the wrong direction. I checked and re-checked everything, only to find that I had accidently dropped a "buggypath7" tag point in the mysterious 0,0,0 location, and they were all heading for that instead of my new "buggypath7".

I think I fixed the problem. There wasn't any respawn-point at 0,0,0, I just chose to export the map to the engine (or something like that). I think that fixed the problem.

Thanks for helping me though, this game ROCKS!
